Beautiful retreat!  We stayed in by the fireplaces!  Snowmobiled, laughed and enjoyed our granddaughter Addyson and Emma (the bulldog) enjoyed chasing a squirrel.  Family bonding-it was great!

What a beautiful & relaxing anniversary weekend!  The house was gorgeous & comfortable.  The view from here is amazing!  We had lots of fun fishing & sunbathing out on the lake, and cooking a nice meal at the end of the day& watching the sunset from the balcony.  We will be back!  Thanks for a relaxing time!

We had a fabulous week:  lots of fishing, grilling, games, puzzles, pool, dinner at Old Hayward and rented a pontoon boat from Earl's (excellent service and very nice people).  The lodge is beautiful and very spacious(and clean)  Went into town (Hayward) to visit the shops and purchased some homemade candies.  Spent time each day on the lake and our dog Lucy- black lab- was in 7th Heaven.  The cheese basket, candies, and coffee were much appreciated and thouroughly enjoyed!  The sunset view is fantastic.  Our only regret is that the week is ending and we will be returning to "reality".  Thank you for a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful week full of fishing & boating activities.  Your facilities are great- large and spacious rooms with plenty of warm blankets, great sunsets and well equipped kitchen.

This place almost allows one to forget that anything or anyone other than right here and right now exists.  The lodge easily swallowed up our family of 10 and was the perfect place to simply be together.  At points between the few pike we landed, the lightening over the water, a great round of golf at Big Fish, a far-too-large meal at Lumberjack, the row boat, pontoon and lazy water our time was completely satisfied with what we see in the creation around.  Thank you for the details, the setting and making this place available to our family.  We hope to be back soon!

One of the most relaxing, beautiful vacations our family has ever taken.  Even the stormy nights & lightening storm was a sight to see. 

Perfect way to celebrate my 50th birthday with my sister and her family.  Our dog Xena would not get out of the lake- she wouldn't get in the truck to leave.  Fishing was fun but did not result in a dinner.  Would love to try out this home in the winter also.  Looking forward to our next visit.

MPL was great!  Just like the website.  Better than we expected.  The weather was awesome, highs 80-85 all week, no rain, mostly sunny and cool nights.  The sunsets were gorgeous every evening.  We wish we didn't have to leave and go back to jobs & college.  Rented a pontoon from Earl's Marine on LCO.  Nice people to work with.  The fishing was good, caught some small mouths on worms, minnows & leeches.  Couldn't find any walleye but we had fun anyway.  Hope to come back soon!  Mary thanks for the gift basket and all the things the lodge made available.

What a wonderful place for our entire family to spend our vacation.  The weather was perfect for the most part…..any day on vacation is better than at work.  Thank you Mary for your hospitality and the wonderful gift baskets that were enjoyed!  Thanks again for the fantastic time!

Your home was so beautiful, clean, and welcoming- we are recommending it to all of our friends back home in Cary, Illinois!  It was great to wake each morning to the beautiful view of the lake, and then enjoy hot coffee on the deck.  There was lots to do in Hayward, but it was hard to leave the house!  We did love the fish fry at Pine Ridge Lodge( about 20 mins from Hayward)- they had the best Walleye and fried dough we’ve ever had!  Thank you Mary for all of your kindness and help!

MPL's First Wedding!!!
September 29th, 2006

We could not of imagined a better setting! Our first night there were fire works and the loons singing. Friday, our wedding day, things were cool and calm - perfect for our celebration. We ended the weekend out on the pier under the amazing star filled sky. Needless to say, our stay was memorable, the house immaculate, and Mary was very accommodating. Thanks for everything!
